Iran has declared three days of national mourning in honor of the people who lost their lives in the resistance against the recent US and Israeli-incited unrest in the country.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran has declared three days of national mourning in honor of the people who lost their lives in the resistance against the recent US and Israeli-incited unrest in the country.

The administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a statement after a cabinet meeting on Sunday night, saying the Iranian nation has had the firsthand experience of the Daesh type criminal and terrorist acts, resulting in the martyrdom of "our beloved countrymen, including the Basij volunteer forces, police and security personnel."

The statement read that such violence and crimes had not seen before, except in the actions of US-sponsored Daesh terrorists.

It said that "the President [Masoud Pezeshkian] and his Cabinet mourn the glorious and brave martyrs" and invites the dear Iranian people to join the demonstration nationwide tomorrow [Monday] to condemn the unrest and express firm support for national security.

The Iranian capital Tehran, and several other cities witnessed violent riots on Thursday and Friday nights, with the Israeli and US-backed saboteurs and rioters setting fire to public and private property, causing extensive damage.
